Pakistan Television (PTV) actor Ishrat Abbas passed away. According to family sources, his funeral prayers will be offered today (Saturday – September 13) at 11am in Government College Faqirabad, Peshawar. Colleagues and fans have expressed grief over his demise, describing him as a humble personality who gave decades of service to the entertainment industry. Admirers remembered him as one of the great artists of PTV. Ishrat Abbas was a known face of state-run PTV during its golden era, remembered for his versatile acting in popular drama serials and stage plays. Born in Peshawar, Abbas began his artistic journey in theatre before transitioning to television, where his career flourished. He worked alongside some of the biggest names in Pakistan’s drama industry and contributed to productions. His performances were marked by natural dialogue delivery and emotional depth, qualities that set him apart as a distinguished actor.
