Several passenger vehicles were destroyed in a major landslide that struck Gandlu in the Chilas area of Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday. Rescue sources reported that several passengers may be trapped under the debris. An emergency has been declared at Chilas Hospital to provide immediate medical assistance. According to GB government spokesperson Faizullah Faraq, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has directed authorities to speed up rescue operations.
