According to the military’s media wing, the operations were carried out as part of the ongoing series of intelligence-based operations under Rad-ul-Fitna-3, a sustained counterterrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies. The ISPR said security forces detected the movement of six terrorists in Washuk district on August 5 and engaged them effectively. Following a precise operation, all six militants were killed. In a separate intelligence-based operation on August 6 in Mastung district, six more terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire between security forces and the militants. The forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout during the operation. The military said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations at full pace to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored and foreign-backed terrorism from the country. The operations come a week after security forces killed four India-sponsored terrorists and destroyed two explosives-laden vehicles during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district. During the operation last Thursday, security forces intercepted the movement of two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) and engaged the militants operating them. Pakistan witnessed a surge in terror activities, particularly in its KP and Balochistan provinces, since 2021, when the Afghan Taliban came into power. According to a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), the two provinces remained the country’s main hotspots for violence during the second quarter of 2026, with KP emerging as the worst-affected region. The report stated that KP and Balochistan together accounted for nearly 96% of all violence-related fatalities recorded during the quarter. Of the total deaths, more than 61% (475) were reported in KP, while Balochistan accounted for 34% (265). KP also recorded the highest number of violent incidents, with 151 cases, representing 57% of the nationwide total. Balochistan followed with 94 incidents, or 35%, underscoring the concentration of militant activity in the two provinces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Security forces killed…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":10023,"comment_status":"registered_only","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[41],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10022","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-balochistan"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10022","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=10022"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10022\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/10023"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=10022"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=10022"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.jeetnews.pk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=10022"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
