The high-level international forum, held under the theme “Advancing Sustainable Solutions for a Resilient Planet,” brought together delegates from all 193 UN member states, along with civil society representatives, scientific experts, development partners, and private sector participants. The Assembly focused on shaping global environmental policies, setting strategic priorities, and strengthening international environmental law to accelerate sustainable development. Delegates emphasized that global cooperation, access to climate finance, and science-based solutions are crucial for enhancing resilience, adaptation, and long-term environmental stability. In his address, Dr. Musadik Malik highlighted the urgent need for decisive climate action. “Climate action is no longer optional; it is essential. Nature follows its own course. If we act unjustly towards nature, it will not respond—but we will bear the consequences.” He stressed the vulnerabilities faced by climate-impacted countries like Pakistan and called for robust adaptation strategies, climate-resilient infrastructure, and equitable global financial support. Dr. Malik warned that without effective international cooperation, developing nations will continue to suffer disproportionate human, economic, and ecological losses. Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, the Federal Minister stated that the country will continue working with the international community to implement effective environmental solutions and strengthen multilateral climate governance.

[40

post-5725","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-national
["GET
