Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said providing relief to common man in difficult times is foremost priority of the government. He was presiding over a meeting in Lahore today to review petroleum product reserves in the country and government\u2019s relief measures for the public during the recent tensions in the region. The Prime Minister said we will not leave our people alone during this difficult time and the amount saved through government\u2019s austerity measures will be spent on them. He said we are also making tireless efforts to provide relief to economically weak segments as quickly as possible. Shehbaz Sharif said provision of subsidy to the people having public transport and goods\u2019 vehicles through digital wallets has been started. He said digital transfer of subsidies to public transport buses, wagons, as well as trucks and goods-carrying vehicles has also been started under an effective and transparent system. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the progress on the implementation of the government\u2019s relief measures for the public in view of recent surge in the prices of petroleum products. It was briefed that adequate reserves of petroleum products are available to meet the needs of country.
