An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale shook Khuzdar, Sibi, and surrounding areas in Balochistan late Tuesday night. The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers in Khuzdar. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the epicenter was located 50 kilometers southwest of Sibi and 80 kilometers northwest of Khuzdar, also at a depth of 10 kilometers. Residents, alarmed by the tremors, came out of their homes reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported in either district. Local authorities and rescue teams are closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.
